2-1-1. These almost perfect scores are the best ever exhibited by Giallongo’s crew comprised of Henry Fonda as tactician and helm Francesco Scarselli.

The first race by far was the toughest for Giallongo as they had much to prove after a tough and disappointing finish in Lerici. Although they appeared to get off to a tough start in Scarlino, they held steadfast and true to advance ahead of the 30-strong fleet. With nerves of steel and determination, they held off the competition to take a nice second place finish. The only other team that could hold up and conquer Giallongo’s offensive was the amazing Carlo Alberini on Calvi Networkwith tactician Gabriele Benussi taking the win.

Races two and three had character all their own as Giallongo clearly stole the show with two bullets to round out the day with an amazing 4 points on the scoreboard. Giallongo’s arch-nemesis Luca Domenici on Notaro Team was right on his heels the entire time. Alessandro Molla on Bela Vita and Stefano di Properzio on Hulk mixed it up taking second and third respectively. Domenici finished in fourth in race two. He performed better for race three moving up for a second place finish behind Giallongo. Claudio Recchi on Team 93 got in on the action placing third.

So, the provisional ranking is hardly shaken yet reinforced by Giallongo’s Value Team performance. Domenici finds himself a substantial 14 points out of first and tied with Marco Morina on Sei Tu 20 in third. In fourth and fifth, with 19 points each, is di Properzio and Francesco Farnetti on Reggini Sailing Team.

Top Ten Results (After 3 Races)
1.) Benedetto Giallongo, Value Team; 2-1-1 = 4
2.) Luca Domenici, Notaro Team; 12-4-2 = 18
3.) Marco Morina, Sei Tu 20; 9-5-4 = 18
4.) Stefano di Properzio, Hulk; 4-3-12 = 19
5.) Francesco Farnetti, Reggini Sailing Team; 5-6-8 = 19
6.) Carlo Alberini, Calvi Network; 1-11-9 = 21
7.) Federico Strocchi, Cheyenne; 7-8-6 = 21
8.) Fausto Rubbini, Thule; 13-7-5 = 25
9.) Alessandro Molla; Bela Vita; 11-2-13 = 26
10.) Claudio Recchi, Team 93; 17-9-3 = 29
