High Octane One Designs is going on it’s fourth year of reporting race coverage from around the world for our viewers. We’re not only about “one design” boats as our name implies. We also cover race reports on the great 18 foot skiffs, 12 foot skiffs, development class boats along with multi-hull racing. We’ve recently redesigned and redeveloped our website for a cleaner look, more interactive interface within the site and much better navigation and SEO for our end.
While we do a majority of reports from media companies that are on-site covering the regattas, we also publish our own content. Our objective is to bring the race reports on small sailboat racing to one location for our viewers.
Here you’ll find all major regattas covered including the Volvo Youth Sailing, World Championships of many one design sailboats, major catamaran regattas, Trofeo S.A.R. Princesa Sofia Mapre along with Olympic coverage.

High Octane One Designs originally started as a small high performance sailing media website only. We wanted to bring the sailing community news only on small race vessels because there wasn’t a publication that existed in this niche small high performance sailboats. We have expanded into big boat media, with coverage being about 10% to big boat sailing news and holding at 90% on small high performance sailing. We will continue our coverage on high performance smaller sailing vessels while bringing you scattered news on translatic, America’s Cup and other big boat media.
